What is Sabong
A Tradition That's Been Part of Philippine Life for Centuries
Sabong — cockfighting — is one of the oldest and most deeply rooted traditions in the Philippines. You'll find it in the barrios of Visayas, the provinces of Mindanao, and the heart of Luzon. For generations, Filipino families have gathered around the sabungan on weekends and fiesta days, picking their rooster, watching the match unfold, and sharing the excitement with neighbours and barkada.
xz77 brings that same energy online so you can follow the action from wherever you are. Instead of travelling to a cockpit arena, you open your xz77 account and join a live Sabong stream that puts you right at ringside. The roosters are real, the referees are present, and the results are broadcast in real time. Nothing is simulated — it is the same Sabong you already know, now accessible through a screen.
For those new to the format, online Sabong or e-Sabong works in a straightforward way. A fight is announced, odds are posted, and players place bets before or during the early moments of the match. Results are confirmed by the arena referee, and winnings from qualifying bets are credited to the xz77 wallet according to the applicable payout rules.

Common xz77 Sabong Betting Markets Explained
xz77 Sabong betting follows the traditional structure used in Philippine cockpits, adapted for a seamless online experience. Bet types and payout multipliers below are representative.
| Bet Type | Filipino Term | Typical Odds Range | Description | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Favourite Side | Meron | 1.65 – 1.90 | Back the rooster posted as the favoured fighter based on arena betting activity. | Active |
| Underdog Side | Wala | 1.85 – 2.35 | Back the less-favoured rooster for a higher potential return if it wins. | Active |
| Draw Result | Draw | Up to 8.00 | Bet on the fight ending without a clear winner. Higher odds reflect the rarity of this outcome. | Selected events |
| Special Derby | Grand Prix | Varies by card | xz77 periodically runs Grand Prix events with larger prize pools and enhanced markets across multiple fights. | Campaign basis |
Exact odds for each fight are set by the arena and confirmed in your xz77 account at the time of betting. Final payouts use the odds valid at bet submission.

Full FAQ PageIn Philippine Sabong, Meron is the rooster receiving more backing from arena bettors, making it the favourite. Wala is the underdog. At xz77 these terms appear directly on the betting interface so you always know which corner each rooster is fighting from.
Yes. xz77 lets you open the stream before betting. You can observe the roosters, check the atmosphere, and watch early fight exchanges before deciding whether to place a bet. If the arena officially declares a fight void, cancelled, or without a clear result, xz77 typically returns the stake for affected bets to your account balance. The specific handling depends on the event rules, which are shown during betting and in the applicable terms for that market.
Winnings from qualifying bets are credited after the arena confirms the official result. For most xz77 Sabong matches this happens within a few minutes of the fight ending. The updated balance then appears in your account wallet and can be used for the next bet or requested for withdrawal.
